2. Booking & Payment

  • To secure your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required.
  • For multi-destination itineraries spanning across Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and/or India, a deposit of 40% of the total trip cost applies.
  • If your custom itinerary includes domestic or international flight tickets, full payment for the flight portion must be paid along with the initial deposit.
  • The remaining trip balance can be settled on or before your arrival in the starting country.
  • We accept credit/debit cards and international bank wire transfers. A standard 3.5% transaction fee applies to card payments or international transfers. All sender-side intermediary bank fees remain the responsibility of the traveler.
  • We accept major global currencies (USD, EUR, INR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SGD, NPR) based on the exchange rates active on the payment day.
  • Please verify that all booking confirmation details are correct. Geet Travel is not responsible for errors not reported to us within 24 hours of issuing the confirmation.

3. Change of Dates

  • You can request changes to your travel dates up to 1 week (7 days) before your scheduled trip departure.

  • Date changes requested within 7 days of the scheduled departure may not be possible due to non-refundable local blockings.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our cancellation policy is structured to protect commitments made to local transport, hotels, and guides. The refund structure is calculated based on when the written cancellation request is received:

5. Force Majeure Events

In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, earthquakes, severe weather, regional political unrest, or government restrictions) that make operating the tour unsafe or impossible, Geet Travel reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the trip. In these cases, clients can choose:

  • A 1:1 travel credit value for the full paid amount, valid for use within twenty-four (24) months toward any future booking (minus unrecoverable supplier costs).
  • A standard refund of all recoverable amounts returned to us by third-party providers, processed within 30 days.

6. Flight Delays & Itinerary Updates

Weather conditions in mountainous regions can cause unexpected delays or cancellations of domestic flights (such as flights to Lukla or Pokhara). Additional accommodation, meals, or alternative transport costs resulting from these delays are the responsibility of the traveler. Geet Travel will assist with all logistics and alternative arrangements to the best of our ability.

7. Travel Insurance

It is highly recommended for all travelers to have comprehensive travel insurance. Your policy should cover emergency medical expenses, high-altitude rescue/evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal baggage loss. While Geet Travel provides full insurance coverage for our guides and crew, travelers must arrange their own personal policies.

8. Responsible Conduct

We advocate for responsible, respectful tourism. We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or terminate services for any traveler whose behavior is abusive, harmful, or disrespectful to our crew, local communities, or fellow tour participants.

9. Passports & Visas

Your passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from your date of entry. It is the traveler's responsibility to obtain and carry all necessary entry visas, vaccination records, and required permits. Visa on arrival is widely available for eligible countries at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu).
